What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Niceville Children's Park as a clean, well-maintained, and fun free destination for children 12 and under, highlighting the splash pad and playground. However, some express frustration over unexpected splash pad closures and a lack of clear communication regarding hours and availability.
"Two of my grandchildren, my husband and I spent some time at the Niceville Children's Park today. It's a fantastic free park, for children 12 years old and younger. It's clean, well-maintained (except for the gate to the Splash Pad which drags on the sidewalk and won't open completely), and has well-stocked bathrooms. Parents or gardians must stay at the park with their children, according to the rules. There are picnic tables with umbrellas, for adults to sit in the shade while watching the children play. Note: No one was in the ladies restroom, with me, when I took a picture to show how clean and freshly painted it is. Recommended!"

"Safe, ample parking, and some seating areas for adults. Unfortunately the splash pad wasn't open when we went, but maybe we'll come back and try again when it's warmer. Kids loved the balloon castle,"

"Disappointed in the park and lack of communication. Seems like it's a trend at the park though. There was a planned field trip for my child’s class to go to the park and splash pad. Once the class got there, there were signs that said the splash pad was closed until the next day. Once I finally found an employee, they said they were closed due to a fence breaking. I asked if the class could still play in the water since the fence wasn’t near the water. They said no because maintenance would be in the way fixing it. Maintenance never came that day and no staff notified the teacher or school about it being closed prior to the field trip. Very disappointing for the kids who were already in their swimsuits ready to go."
