What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Frenchman's Hole is a stunning natural swimming hole praised for its beautiful scenery and the exhilarating waterfall jump. Visitors love the refreshing cold water and the unique experience of sliding down the falls. However, the limited parking, slippery rocks, and strong currents mean it's not suitable for everyone, and caution is advised.
"Nice out of the way swimming hole with waterfalls and some really nice scenery. Most waterfalls in Maine have a hike before you get to enjoy a dip but at Frenchman's hole you walk across a dirt road and the water is right there"
Jeremy Bernard
"We have been going here for years since my kids were toddlers. They are now late teens. They still want to go here every year. They take everyone they know there. Water is cold. You have to climb over and up some rocks/steep climbs. Not a good place for those with mobility challenges. Good views. Make sure the wvweyone knows how to swim. Strong currents and a waterfall."
Danielle Blenkush
"Easy to find not very much parking at all. There is in our house picnic tables, beautiful place to swim and waterfall. Would recommend getting there. Early. Good place to take pictures."
