"Before leaving Florida for hurricane season, we were looking for a reasonably priced marina in the Chesapeake where we could stay for several months while living aboard. Leeward Municipal Marina was a great find. The staff has been wonderful, and gave us several slip options to choose from. The floating docks and protective sea wall gave us security when several tropical systems blew over this summer. The restrooms and showers are always clean, and there is a courtesy washer/dryer for use. There are no fancy amenities that are offered in other marinas such as wi-fi, but that is reflected in the very reasonable dockage fees. I just hope they have a slip available next summer when we return."
