What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Endview Plantation for its rich history, knowledgeable guides, and the atmospheric grounds, especially the cemetery. While not a destination for everyone, those in the area find it a worthwhile historical stop. Some suggest improved signage from the main road to enhance accessibility.
"I reenacted here, and I love the redoubt. Unfortunately they're selling that plot of land.
The house had some very cool artifacts, and knowledgeable guides. Not something I would travel to see, but something I would go to if I were in the area."
Crimson Kirk
"We wish there were signs stating that the location was open for tours. We saw and stopped to read the historical markers on our way to Yorktown, and from the main road it appeared that the location was a private home, so we did not pursue any further. It wasn't until later on back at our hotel room in Williamsburg that we realized that the location can be visited. Make sure to do your homework before you travel; we always try our best, but we overlooked this location. Again, a sign out by the main road would have been nice."
Our Haunted Travels - PANICd
"Great place with knowledgeable tour guides. Had a nature walk maintained by the Virginia Master Naturalists Peninsula chapter. The annual Paw Paw festival is amazing with seminars, tastings and paw paw picking. Great for the whole family."
