What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise the Waldorf Astoria's stunning art deco design, spacious and beautifully appointed rooms, and exceptional service. The staff's attentiveness and warmth create a memorable experience, with many highlighting the excellent room service and personalized touches for special occasions. Minor critiques include occasional inconsistencies in phone etiquette and challenges with ride-share pickups.
"The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — it feels like stepping into a modern Atlas Shrugged landmark. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, rich with history, and truly a memorable experience.
Throughout our stay, the staff was consistently courteous, warm, and proactive in making sure we were well taken care of. They approached us thoughtfully for feedback, which we really appreciated, and it showed that they genuinely care about the guest experience.
We stayed for seven days, and room service was a highlight — very accommodating, with breakfasts and dinners that our kids especially enjoyed. Ordering in was convenient and always a pleasant experience.
Overall, this is an iconic property with incredible rooms and a team that is gracious and attentive. We would definitely stay again — the hospitality and environment make it a wonderful place to return to."

"Had my first stay at the Waldorf Astoria New York over the last couple of days, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautifully furnished and exceptionally comfortable — you can really tell how thoughtful and intentional the design is, from the layout to the individually climate-controlled rooms.
Breakfast was also excellent — beautifully presented and delicious. The staff throughout the hotel were exceedingly polite and warm, from the doormen and bellhops (special thanks to Louis, who was such a great help arranging my Uber) to the in-room dining team — my server mentioned he’s been with the Waldorf for 22 years, which really speaks to the culture of the place.
A few small kinks to iron out:
The lobby staff could be better oriented — several weren’t sure which elevators went where, which made it confusing after check-in.
It would help if Uber could correctly locate the hotel’s main entrance at 301 Park Avenue — both I and others in my group had multiple pickup issues.
Phone etiquette was a bit inconsistent — sometimes I was greeted by name, other times not.
Overall, an amazing stay at a truly beautiful hotel with so many wonderful people working there. I’m already looking forward to coming back! 5/5!"

"Fantastic stay at the Waldorf Astoria New York. The post-renovation updates are outstanding—modern, luxurious, and still true to the building’s historic character. Check-in and bell services were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The lobby lounge was excellent with great food and genuinely top-tier service. Our room was clean, modern, and beautifully appointed, and room service was prompt and excellent. Overall a great experience in a very cool blend of historic charm and contemporary design. Highly recommend."
