What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the McKittrick Hotel's unique and immersive experiences, particularly Sleep No More and Speakeasy Magick, praising the detailed environments and captivating performances. While some find the lack of a linear narrative in Sleep No More disorienting, most appreciate the freedom to explore and discover. The rooftop bar, Gallow Green, is also a popular spot for its ambiance and drinks.
"I went to the Midsommar Night's Dream event, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The space encourages you to wander and explore. Each floor had a different set of performances, including a drag show, bands, vocalists and dancers. The plot ran throughout the performances themselves (with side scenes), and I recognized a few key ones.
If you're looking for a traditional theater experience where you see the entire play, this is not it. If you're looking for an immersive experience where you "go with the flow" and see some amazing performances as you wander, then this is for you.
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, clothing that isn't too hot, and be ready for crowds. An upgraded ticket to Oz's Boudoir gave us a place to retreat to in order to relax for a few moments before continuing our wandering."

"I had the pleasure of experiencing the Speakeasy Magick show, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The magicians delighted us by performing close-up magic right at our table. Their charm and interactive approach made the experience even more engaging. It was incredible to witness the seemingly impossible unfold before our eyes. Additionally, the opportunity to interact with other guests at our table added an element of excitement, as we exchanged secrets and marveled together. The cocktails, which were separate from the ticket price ($179 per person), were superb. The ambiance of the venue was uniquely enchanting, creating a sense of mystery and intimacy. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience."
