"Local is the kind of bar that proves how diverse and amazing New York City's nightlife is. A friend of mine and I had just had a wonderful dinner and were looking for a bar where we could have a few beers and hear each other talk...on a Saturday night in SOHO. And while yes, there were bars packed to the brim in ever direction, there was also this beautiful non-assuming chill little spot called Local, nestled quietly on a quiet part of Sullivan street, that despite it being 11 on a Saturday, had seats available, incredible beers and wines on tap, and a friendly bartender who cooked us up a free bowl of popcorn the second we walked in.
We sat there for hours, talking, and just passing time in a spot where everyone felt genuinely warm, kind, and, well, local."
