"The Intrepid Museum is a historic place to visit. The People at the front desk where everyone checks in and purchase their tickets are very professional and kind. The lines to enter the building is very structured, it is like airport lines. The security check bags and instruct everyone to go through the metal detector scanner upon entering the building. The museum walk is self guided at your own pace. You can spend the entire day at the museum and they don’t ask to leave. They have restaurants and snacks vendors machines and souvenirs shops inside the museum. The museum is inside a huge ship. Also is a submarine ship under the water at the museum, if you are afraid of tiny space, they advise you not to go inside the submarine because once you get inside, you can’t turn back until you finish the entire tour of the submarine. Also are many different types of Navy aircraft on display at the museum. The aircraft are magnificent and historical. The Intrepid Museum is a fun place to spend the day and explore with friends and family."

"This was definitely a highlight on our recent trip to NYC. I highly recommend going. We went on a Sunday. We arrived at 930am (opens at 10) and people were already waiting to get in. We pre-purchased tickets online (definitely a time-saver). Head to the Growler (a submarine) first. You will need to be able to get through mid-size holes throughout the sub. We went into the Intrepid next. There is an elevator for those that need them (three decks to explore). The flight deck has really cool planes and helicopters, the shuttle Enterprise and one of the Concords (you will need to pay extra for a tour inside of it). I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for my two teen boys, but so glad I did! Also, make sure you see the movie that plays inside The Intrepid."

"I am not a museum person, but this was truly a great experience!!! Everything was incredible, and what makes it more special is the veterans that are there telling their own experience!!! I highly recommend taking 2 or 3 hours of your day to get to know this amazing place! And the pork nachos are WOW DELICIOUS, a great way to end the tour!"
