What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The IFC Center is lauded for its exceptional selection of independent, foreign, and classic films, offering a refreshing alternative to mainstream cinema. Visitors appreciate the comfortable seating and the unique arthouse atmosphere. However, some reviews point to less-than-ideal lighting and signage in the common areas.
"Been wanting to visit this theater for a while now so I’m glad I got to finally attend an early screening here tonight. The staff were super friendly and the seats were comfortable. I will definitely be back!"
Teddy M.
"I’ve always passed by this theater for years. Growing up, I was always curious but I never went.
This wasn’t until I saw my friend’s movie where he was the assistant editor to the movie ghostlight. It is a heart warming movie with one of the leads being from the movie triangle of sadness where she rocked the role.
We need to support more independent films and you should check out ghostlight.
It’ll really make my friend happy as this is one of the most important movies of his career. Don’t disappoint him. He’s really tall and I heard tall people have a shorter lifespan than us short kings."
Hermes Arriola
"Commuted 45 minutes to catch the last show of the evening to find the doors locked and no one answering phone, no one at the door no one at the box office, just a lone employee inside cleaning who saw me outside trying to contact anyone and ignored me. The theater is open per hours and there are ongoing shows, the theater should have someone available to field customer inquiries. This type of service is not acceptable."
