Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Elizabeth Street Garden as a beautiful, well-maintained sanctuary offering a peaceful escape with charming sculptures and ample seating. It's a beloved community space that provides a tranquil respite from the city's bustle, though some note it can get crowded during peak hours and mention the presence of mosquitoes.

"One of the most beautiful and largest community gardens in Manhattan, with hidden corners to explore and many seating areas.

Due to its location between busy Soho and Lower East Side, the garden is pretty occupied by visitors from 11 a.m. onwards, especially at lunchtime.

Countless great Delis, Bodegas, Take-away restaurants and cafes are just around the corner.

Since this is a community facility, please don‘t leave your pizza boxes and empty bottles in the garden. The people who take care of this beautiful facility in their free time appreciate it."

"Lovely little green garden tucked away on a unassuming street. The place is really well kept and maintained with lots of interesting little touches scattered throughout. There is plenty of shade and seating around the garden providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There are lots of interesting statues to look at and pieces of architecture scattered around.

Lots of people sitting around having lunch, on their laptops and just getting some rest.

A really gem in the city to get some peace and quiet!"

"Beautiful garden in the middle of a lovely neighborhood. We brought our bagels from Black Seed Bagels and sat at a small table in the garden. So quiet. Be sure to donate on your way out! 💜"
