What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Magnolia Hall for its impressive antebellum architecture and the detailed historical insights provided during tours, particularly highlighting the 'fruit under glass' exhibit. While the tour content is appreciated, some find the price steep and note that tour schedules aren't always clearly communicated online, leading to potential missed visits.
"It was not part of my original idea for my most recent trip to Natchez, but I had to use the restroom desperately. $20 for a 30 minute tour seems a bit steep, and as the Garden Club owns it, the focus of the tour seems to be on the things the Garden Club does, which is all fine and good. Everything seems to be restored to its original style and looks, and the history of the house is covered well, and it is nice that they point out that the kitchen was attached to the house. Clothes from the time frame the house was built and dresses from the current balls they have. It was all quite lovely."

"Arrived to find that the last house tour had already gone earlier. No staff at the office or gift store. No where on their web page does it mention the tour times. Last webpage update was over two years ago. We would have easily made the last tour had we known that there was a tour schedule. We were simply passing through Natchez and this was the house we selected and had designated time to visit. The tour schedule is posted on the front lawn though. Still want to tour this house some day."
