It's also a pleasant spot for fishing and a convenient stop for cyclists. The main drawback is the limited parking, which can be challenging during busy periods.
"Great kayak tour! Launch from the bridge. Also can look from above and see the kayakers and boaters heading out to the sandbar. Fishing here also. Keep an eye on the tides. This is also where you can watch people jump off the bridge into the water, tho not legal. Perfect sunsets. Parking here is limited, but there is another parking area across the street on the others side. Nice place to stop on the 30 mile bike trek from Warwick to Narragansett beach and then the Tiki bar at Georges! See you out there on the kayak tour."

Steve Norris
"Great spot to launch into narrow river, for kayaks and paddle boards. There are about 10 spots to park so it's great if the spots aren't taken. It's a quick walk down to the launch point. After that it's not too far down the river to the sandbar. Definitely check the tides because it can be tough paddling against the current."
