"Who doesn’t like a zoo, this place was beautiful, it felt more like a tropical forest walk, most of the animals weee sleeping when we came through but it was enjoyable just to walk around.
The grounds are clean and well organized, the staff were friendly and informative. As we entered there was a wonderful lady at a table showing and explaining the alligator skins. They say you learn something new every day, well I did learn a lot that day.
We were there during the day in early November, it wasn’t crowded and the weather was perfect."

"We went a couple of years ago and there was a lot of construction happening. We weren’t very impressed, as I kept making the joke that the zoo was filled with animals that walked onto the property that day. But the construction is done and the updates are very nice. It feels like a real zoo and not just cages, and they have more animals than the alligators, snakes, and turtles we saw last time.
The feed the giraffes was fun and a great photo opportunity. My five year-old daughter probably talked to the zoo keeper about giraffes for 10-15 mins, and she was so pleasant and enthusiastic. Take lots of your own photos. Glad we did because we went to their professional photo stand to look at the pictures they took, but the pricing was so outrageous, we didn’t even bother to look at the shots. This has to be addressed.
I loved the orangutans. The boat ride is a must of coarse, the boat captain makes the trip fun and informative. We didn’t try the cafe, but they have lots of drink and snack stands throughout. My daughter loved the honey badgers the most, so guess who came home with a honey badger stuffed animal.
Last point of feedback, the senior citizen discount is insulting, better to not offer one than to act like you do with $.50 off a ticket."
