What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for this dealership are highly polarized. Some customers report excellent, hassle-free buying experiences with honest and helpful staff, securing great deals on reliable vehicles. Others describe deeply negative encounters, alleging deceptive practices, odometer tampering, and selling 'lemons' with persistent issues, leading to significant financial loss and distress.
"I bought a 2008 Chevy Impala. I told the lady I had $700 as a down payment. She told me that was fine but when the financing company call to tell them that I paid $2500 as the down payment. After I signed the paperwork and we were discussing monthly payment plan she asked me when I was going to pay the rest of the $2500. I was shocked because I had told her I only had $700. but I really needed a car cause I was pregnant and I signed. So whatever. The car started giving me issues the minute I took it off the lot. I tried to return the car in more than one occasions and the lady told me there was no need because they have a shop in the back they can fix and will continue to fix it if anything ever goes wrong with it. Before making my first payment on the car it needed a new radiator. They charged me $200 to fix it. Anyways the car just kept giving me problems to the point where the lady didn't even care anymore. Richard on the other hand was really helpful and willing I remember the last conversation I had with him he told me to bring the car in and he had a mechanic and he would fix it. When I got there he wasn't there I found the lady and she told me they couldn't fix the car and that there wasn't a mechanic on site to look at it. Even though the garage was open. I ended up spending $900 at another mechanic trying to get the issue solved but they weren't ever able to. I stopped paying. It and they came and got it. My first time at a dealership and it definitely was traumatizing and will be for a while."

"No hassle car buying experience! I got a great deal, wasn't pressured, they worked within my budget & did everything in their power to make my buying experience, fast & hassle free! Dave was my salesman & he was certious, informative, professional, honest & gave me a great deal on a great used car. I would 100℅ buy another car from second 2 none if needed in the future.

"I bought TWO cars from Richard. He is professional, honest, and flexible. I told him what I could afford and he offered me a car. Even 3 years later he was quick to respond and timely adhered to my inquiries about the previous purchases. I would recommend Second2None Auto to anybody who needs an affordable vehicle. 🙏"

🚇 🗺️ Getting There
Look for dealerships with consistently positive reviews across multiple platforms. Check Google Maps, Yelp, and other review sites. Pay attention to how they handle customer complaints.

Absolutely! A test drive is crucial. Make sure to drive on different types of roads and at various speeds.
🎫 🎫 Tickets & Entry
Most dealerships are open Monday through Saturday, often from 9 AM to 6 PM or 7 PM. Some may have limited Sunday hours. It's best to check their specific hours online.
While not always mandatory, an appointment can ensure a salesperson is available to assist you promptly. It can also sometimes lead to better service.
You'll typically need a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and proof of income (like pay stubs) for financing.
Yes, expect to pay for taxes, title, registration, and potentially dealer documentation fees. Always ask for a breakdown of all costs.
Price negotiation is common. Research the car's market value beforehand to have a strong basis for negotiation.
🎫 🛠️ Onsite Experience
Get a pre-purchase inspection from an independent mechanic. Review the vehicle's maintenance history and look for any red flags in the CarFax report.
Listen for unusual noises, check the brakes, acceleration, steering, and all electronic features. Ensure it feels comfortable and safe.
Be firm about your budget and needs. If you feel pressured, politely state you need more time to think or are not interested.
Review your purchase agreement carefully for any warranty information. Some dealerships offer limited warranties, but many 'as-is' sales offer none.
Compare the mileage on the odometer with the mileage reported on the vehicle history report and any service records. Significant discrepancies are a major warning sign.
🎫 💰 Financing & Payment
Explore options from banks, credit unions, and dealership financing. Compare interest rates and terms carefully.
A larger down payment can lower your monthly payments, reduce the total interest paid, and potentially help you qualify for better loan terms.
A lemon is a vehicle with significant defects that cannot be repaired after a reasonable number of attempts. Thorough inspection and history checks are key to avoidance.
It can be challenging, but not impossible. Dealerships often have subprime lenders, but interest rates may be higher. Improving your credit score beforehand is advisable.
Contact your lender immediately to discuss options like deferment or modification. Failure to pay can lead to repossession, damaging your credit.

👨👩👧 Families on a Budget
When negotiating, be firm about your family's needs and budget. Don't be afraid to walk away if the deal doesn't feel right or if the car has too many potential issues. A thorough pre-purchase inspection is non-negotiable for family vehicles.
🚗 First-Time Car Buyers
Prioritize getting a pre-purchase inspection. This will give you peace of mind and help you avoid costly mistakes. Understand all the paperwork and financing terms before signing. Remember, your first car doesn't have to be perfect, but it should be safe and reliable.

Understanding Used Car Warranties
It's also worth considering third-party extended warranties, though these can be costly and their value varies greatly. Thoroughly research the warranty provider and read the contract terms carefully. A pre-purchase inspection by an independent mechanic is your best defense against unexpected repair bills, regardless of any warranty offered.
Red Flags to Watch For
During the sales process, watch out for high-pressure tactics, vague answers to your questions, or a reluctance to allow an independent inspection. If the seller insists on cash-only payments or discourages you from getting a vehicle history report, these are also strong warning signs. Trust your instincts; if something feels off, it's often best to walk away and find a more trustworthy seller.
The Importance of a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI)
The PPI provides you with objective information about the car's condition, empowering you to make an informed decision. If significant issues are found, you can use this information to negotiate a lower price, request repairs, or walk away from a potentially costly purchase. It's a small investment that can save you thousands of dollars and a lot of headaches down the road. Always choose a mechanic who is not affiliated with the dealership.
