What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Naples Art District for its unique professional artwork and the opportunity to meet talented artists directly in their studios, often at better values than larger galleries. However, some find that certain 'studios' are merely staged pop-up galleries, and the summer heat can be a deterrent. The Edgarton collection of mechanical musical instruments was a standout highlight for some.
"After seeing the signs for the Naples Art District for many years, I finally decided to go on an impromptu self guided tour of the area recently. It was mid July and Naples was steaming hot as usual. Not the best time to go but I will go back when the weather is cooler.
The first few stops that I made on Shirley street were all closed but luckily I landed in Sir Roland Richardson's gallery and started enjoying some art. I finally cooled off while browsing through his beautiful and soothing pastel caribbean style art and I felt my tour was getting better.
I ended up on J & C Blvd and had some fun taking pics of a class at Art Edge Gallery. Friendly, sincere environment and great art. Michael Monroe gallery was a winner as well. Love his style and will go back someday when the weather is cooler to meet some of these artists in person. Will post more pics when I do. Enjoy!"

"Unique Professional artwork at a better value than other big galleries. Love Meeting all the artists. J & C Blvd has many good artists. They have larger studios that should not be passed up during the tour. Many artist are staying through the summer teaching and open for business. The studios stretch from Shirley St to J&C Blvd mainly but there are other artists on side streets as well. Look on the website to find a map of the area."
