"Nice ski area. Runs are ok. Just wish they had more snow in the winter. Maybe next year. Plenty of beginner runs. Rentals are pricey."

"I have been here twice and loved it both times. As a beginner this place is perfect as it has a lot of green slopes and the lesson packages are quite affordable.
We arrived here on Sunday morning. Two of my friends took the beginner lesson and the instructor was very patient with them. They ended up enjoying it by the end of the day and mastered the bunny hills.
I had taken the beginner lesson last time which had also been a perfect stepping stone for me to take the next step ski lesson this time. I was nervous to do it as I hadn’t skied in a while but it came right back and Matthew, my instructor was truly amazing. He was very detailed in his instructions and you could tell he loved the sport a lot. He gave us such amazing tips and really improved my skiing stance and progressed me to the next level. I also felt very inspired after the lesson as I could understand through Matthew’s anecdotes and my own run down the green slopes why it was so much fun.
I can’t wait to get back to Mt Rose and improve my skiing skills. I really hope to take another lesson with Matthew and would highly recommend him for anyone who wants to get better and learn from a pro."
