What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Bay View State Park's beautiful waterfront location, abundant wildlife, and family-friendly atmosphere. The clean campsites and helpful staff are frequently praised, though some note occasional facility renovations. It's a highly recommended spot for camping and beach exploration.
"Amazing camping experience. We were in the front cabins, which had their own washrooms, was heated with electricity and fridge and microwave. The ranger’s station has a full stock of items to purchase, including firewood for $10. They were the nicest people you could ever meet, was so friendly and themselves and volunteers keeps the park immaculately clean. The cabins themselves were clean, with beds for four. The public bathrooms closet to the cabins were closed for construction, but we can see how nice the new ones are going to be. There was also a few games set out in the main field for everyone to use. Best of all, the underpass that goes directly to the beach where the kids could hunt down sea creatures for hours."

"Bay View State Park is in my top 5 favorite Washington State Parks!! It’s on the smaller side (which is nice!) with great restrooms and showers and a short walk to the beach. Each site has at least one “groomed” tent pad and most sites can support 2+ tents. There is an abundance of wildlife including a resident great horned owl. The beach area is wide and would be great to have a picnic or just watch the sunset over Padilla bay."

"Beautiful lovely. Bathrooms in front of park suck, but being remodled starting this week for most of summer it says. Which will really suck for people all having to share one shower and like 4 stalls, which 2 usually say out of order. ;(
I also got athletes foot from stepping on the shower floor. I know better too but left my sandles at home and I had to go barefoot in there. It sucked bad!
But, the place is gorgeous, clean and quiet."
