Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the iconic popovers and the breathtaking views of Jordan Pond and the Bubbles mountains. The historic ambiance and the high tea experience are also frequently highlighted as positives. While the food is generally enjoyed, some find it slightly overpriced for the quality, and the lobster roll received mixed reviews. Long wait times can be a drawback if reservations aren't secured.
"High Tea is kinda iconic here. Long history of heavy hitters and artists doing their thing while enjoying the views. Food was for low T males and women, and the popover was a neat experience with butter and jam. We had tea and the whole deal. There was a cool breeze blowing through the dining room and the view of Jordan Pond and the Bubbles was actually pretty amazing. Definitely worth doing once."

"Beautiful place with large outdoor terrace overlooking Jordan pond. We tried the big popover which doesn't taste anything special, is hollow and crispy, ate with butter and jam. Clam chowder is tasty but quite small compared to other places. You pay for the place but it's well worth it. The place is very busy, accept reservations and walk-in but there's some wait time. We were given a buzzer while waiting and could walk around or go to souvenir shop while waiting. There's also a little info desk there. You can buy the park pass at the shop. There's grass area outside the terrace facing the pond which one can also picnic and bring your own food."

"Well worth the hour - plus wait to have the view and a popover they're known for. The restaurant is beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. The lawn had just opened for the season and boy, were they busy! Waitstaff was friendly, I think they were shorthanded, doing the best they could with the crowd. There's a giftshop - go kill some time there. Be patient. I was glad they all showed up for work. The menu was extensive - next time I want to try the popover chicken pie. I had one popover, my friends had 2 popovers and an ice cream popover sundae! Crazy good stuff!"
