What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Georges Island Park is lauded for its beautiful riverside setting, family-friendly playground, and boating access. Visitors appreciate the spaciousness and scenic views. However, some reviews mention concerns about bird droppings and suggest improvements in trash can availability. Parking fees on weekends are also a point to note.
"George’s Island Park is a peaceful and spacious place with lots of parking. We saw people bringing their boats and jet skis to the dock, which was nice. If you walk further in, there’s a quiet spot with a clear view of the waterfront—perfect for relaxing and taking pictures.
There’s also a big open field and a play area with swings and other things for kids, which makes it great for families.
However, one major downside was the bird poop everywhere—on the ground, benches, near the water. It was honestly pretty disgusting and took away from the overall experience.
Also, keep in mind that there is a parking fee on weekends and holidays—$10 for cars, and it varies depending on the size of your vehicle.
Overall, it’s a nice park to enjoy nature and spend time with friends or family, but they seriously need to improve the cleanliness."

"This is a beautiful park by the Hudson River. It has excellent view of mountains and trees. It also has boat sailing facility and playground. Parking fee is $10 per car. If you like to arrange a family or community picnic/gathering, this place is not recommended at all! One of the park rangers was extremely mean and rude. Not enough trash cans are available."
