The library's role as a community hub, offering diverse programming and resources like interlibrary loans and a dedicated teen center, is highly valued. Some minor inconveniences include the limited two-hour parking in the surrounding area.
"It’s an classic library. The staff is helpful and pleasant. You can request materials via interlibrary loan, which I don’t think many people know about.
I have it on good authority, however, that there’s a ghost in the attic which doesn’t put books back in an organized way. As a matter of fact, this ghost reportedly leaves books all over the place. It doesn’t happen often, but it can be disconcerting for the occasional librarian who hears it, then has to deal with it."

"This library is one of the prettiest I have seen. It’s a beautiful two story library with modern books, but still has that old fashioned look. The art on the walls is amazing. I stopped by for a quiet place to do some work. They have the nonfiction room (first floor, to the left after the desk), which is the designated quiet room. In that room they have public computers you can use, as well as desks. There are many other places you could work, I went up to the adult fiction room on the second floor. There is a big table, as well as small tables in the corners. There are desks/tables in almost every room, so there isn’t a lack of that. Even though it wasn’t the quiet room, it was still very quiet and peaceful. Staff are lovely, there is even a self checkout for books! Over all, I loved working here, and will be back again.
Only negative:
This has nothing to do with the library, but all the parking around is two hour parking. So if you plan to spend more time than two hours in there, keep that in mind."

"Best library I have ever been to. The architecture is beautiful and they have done a wonderful job maintaining the building. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there is a lot of space to study. As well as books dedicated to preserving the history of Vermont. They also have books for sale downstairs as well as some free books."
