"This is very clearly a 5 star outside affair! The trail runs deep through all sorts of terrain for many miles, even crossing counties. The amount of natural in habitat wildlife, delirious blend of scenery and sky, make for a thrilling and unforgettable journey. A walk, jog or just a sightseeing jaunt all lend themselves fantastically to this fabulous experience. The trail is well maintained but be mindful of ticks in summer, and the occasional timber rattler (which tends to avoid people). A beautiful time awaits!
P.S From about April to September, the Timber Rattler can often make an appearance. I’ve seen them a number of times. Don’t freak out, but be mindful where you walk and certainly be mindful if with smaller dogs/pets."

"We followed the trail to visit Catherine Montour's memorial and the Charles Cook monument as part of an ancestry excursion day. What a powerful experience it was, and what a beautiful walk the trail provided. The only drawback is the lack of clear trail markings. None-the-less a wonderful experience I would recommend for any historical visit in Montour Falls."
