"At perhaps the lowest point in my life I sought refuge and sanctuary here so I could pray and reflect. It was 7m on May 29 and the church was closed, yet when I called a woman answered and invited me in around back. She introduced me to Pastor Morris who read well my hearts cares and concerns and sat with me and talked of the heart's resolve and God presence guiding us through life’s trials. I was there for a couple hours and in our last conversation he asked “Well blake let me ask you again since you can’t backtrack (because life won’t allow you to go back the way you came), where you headed?” I thought he was talking about geography and it wasn’t until July that he’d been talking about the direction of my life and the condition of my soul.
I’ve prayed several times a day since then and have taught biblical passages as English Literature lessons. Where am I headed? Back to Montgomery and Pastor Morris to surrender my life and soul to Christ this Sunday July 21, 2019"
