What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Mobile Carnival Museum to be an informative and visually stunning experience, highlighting the incredible costumes and rich history of Mardi Gras in Mobile. While some found the introductory video dated, the exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and interactive float photo opportunity are consistently praised. It's considered a must-visit for understanding the true origins of American Mardi Gras.
"Informative place! Lots of decorations, lots of history, all very interesting. Started off with a video that is very dated but interesting. We then started off with a tour guide but he was a little too long-winded for the kids so we headed off to explore on our own. Still learned tons! Never know that Madi gras stared in Mobile in the US and they have “royalty” still to this day! Loved all the costumes they had to display. Overall, the price wasn’t too bad for what you got to see and learn. Not at all busy, likely due to the time of year."
