My family stopped by this train museum because of my 8 year old son. This museum is a nice gem. Many artifacts that I normally don't see, such as the different sizes of rail with cross-sections.
There are several rolling stock outside the museum with historical narratives posted in the refurbished caboose. The other caboose is a work in progress.
The museum is two stories, plus a basement. The main floor and upstairs has a variety of historical artifacts from local history. We enjoyed the working railroad crossing gate.
The staff showed us the club layout that covers most of the basement. Very clever and well done layout! Staff was super friendly and were excited to share history and local club information.
There is a small gift shop which has some nice collectibles, especially from the local historical railroads.
