"I really liked it! It was one of the better free museums that I have been to, and it's a block from MIA in case you're searching for quiet, calming galleries to visit with the fam.
The highlights of the museum for me were the Tibetan Art Exhibit that talked about the history of Tibetan Buddhism and the Dalai Lama's presence in Minnesota. I am currently practicing Sri Lankan Buddhism, which largely focuses on Metta (loving-kindness). It was interesting to see the differences and similarities that I've noticed from different areas of the world.
I also really enjoyed the Bond Between Us Exhibit. I enjoyed the storytelling and strong visual components in this exhibit. I enjoyed learning about the artist’s roots, and I recommend taking your time to absorb the impact of his story.
All in all, it was worthwhile. I was told by Audra at the front desk that they do have live performances there, and special exhibits are coming up in the next couple of months. Spend an hour or two, and enjoy your visit."
