"I came here for the Mexican Festival with my family, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The park is large, so be prepared to do a fair amount of walking, comfortable shoes are a must! One of the highlights is the absolutely gorgeous view of the river, which makes the atmosphere feel extra special. The park itself is fairly well maintained, and I was impressed by how friendly and attentive the workers were. At one point, I needed to find the nearest ATM, and instead of just pointing me in a vague direction, one of the staff members actually walked me there while making friendly conversation. That level of hospitality really stood out. Most places would never go that far. Another thing I appreciated was how thoughtfully the festival stages were set up. They were spaced far enough apart that the music didn’t clash, which is rare for big events like this. It made moving from stage to stage a lot more enjoyable. Like most festivals, food and drink prices are definitely on the higher side, so come prepared to spend more than you normally would. The main drawback was parking. Definitely utilize spot hero for affordable priced parking. The lot across from the venue charged $50, and it took over 30 minutes just to leave the lot after the event. When we arrived there was a police officer directing traffic, but none were present during exit, which created unnecessary chaos.
I’d love to see the city take a more thoughtful, long-term approach to parking and traffic management. Not everyone can or wants to park far away and walk long distances, especially elderly visitors, families with young children, or those with disabilities. A more balanced parking approach would benefit everyone: affordable closer lots for those who need them, clear designated spaces for rideshare drop-off/pick-up, and improved shuttles from farther lots for those who don’t mind parking away. Just a thought 🤷🏽♀️."

"I go to a ton of festivals every year and I promise you won't find one better equipped for a great experience than Summerfest. It's got permanent stages & bathrooms, very reasonable food & drink prices, fireworks, an excellent view of the lake, crisp sound & video boards at each stage, endless places to sit, tons of shade for those hot afternoons, kayaking, a driving range, a playground & kids stage for the kids, and of course 10+ hours of live music a day.
At $30 per day it is arguably the best deal for a music festival in the country and if that still breaks your bank there is almost always a promotion to get in for free.
I am incredibly lucky to have grown up in the city that calls this massive and INDEPENDENT music festival its home and my love and appreciation for it grows each and every year. If you ever find yourself in Milwaukee at the end of June or beginning of July this festival is an absolute must!"

"We always come to events at the Festival grounds but I never posted a review. It's always a great time here for any event. Plenty of restrooms and food options for all the festivals throughout summer. If you are not from Milwaukee or have never been, please stop by for any large event. It's well run and soany things to try and vendors who sell, advertise, promote, ect. The music from many different cultures and ethnicities are what brings the community together and build stronger bonds. Always a wonderful time here with the lake breeze right next to the venue."
