What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Tennessee Valley Trailhead for its beautiful coastal access and diverse hiking options, from easy beach walks to challenging climbs. The stunning overlook views are a major highlight. However, parking is a significant issue, with the lot filling up very early on busy days, often requiring street parking.
"Did a sunrise hike, we arrived pretty early and found parking with ease. The hike itself from parking to beach is super easy and beginner friendly but if you’d like a challenge there are great options here as well. This is our top favorite area to hike we have come many times you can spend a few hours here or a whole day just depends which trail you choose."

"A must! Super easy trail that leads straight to the beach. Make sure to stick to the Lower Tennessee Valley Trail if you want a mostly flat hike. This is a great option if you have young kids with you. Otherwise, the main trail will have a steep climb with no shade. Once you get to the beach, there is a steep climb (800m) to the overlook - don’t miss out! It offers great views! As for parking, arrive early! If you get there by 9am you will be struggling getting any spots at the lot. There is plenty of street parking, but note the street is quite narrow and it fills up pretty quickly."
Fatima
"From the parking lot to the beach is 1.6mile. It’s a good run/walk to and back.
I didn’t spend too much time exploring the beach. Maybe next time I’ll take off my shoes and walk on the sand. View is small and beautiful."
