What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Old Mill Park's serene atmosphere, towering redwoods, and the charming waterfall. It's a beloved free spot for families, dog owners, and nature enthusiasts, offering a peaceful escape with historical ruins and easy trails. Some find parking challenging on busy weekends.
"Nice little park, they have a replica of the old mill that started the town of Mill Valley. The park can be crowded during the weekend and parking can be difficult cause its limited."
Town Traveller
"Never tire of bringing our dog here. It is great fun to walk among the old grove Redwoods, check out the creek, hike, and enjoy the beautiful shaded area when much of Marin is hot. Clean restrooms, benches, picnic tables, water fountains, creative playgrounds."
Jean Mansen
"Lovely park split in two sides: one side has the play structure, restrooms, and water fountain, the other side is across the street, closer to the mill valley library, and includes more picnic tables, the outdoor stage, and more woodsy area. The creek runs through both sides and there’s a little tunnel for it, connecting the sides of the park so some kids walk through it to get to the other side. It’s also very close to the start of the dipsea steps and other great walks around the area. It’s walkable distance to downtown Mill Valley so you might grab lunch downtown and take it to a picnic bench in the park or on your hike."
