"I got married in June of 2025 at the new Soldier Hollow Nordic Center ("Sports Discovery Center"). I've been waiting to write this review until after I got my pictures back because I wanted to do this venue justice. It is BREATHTAKING. Super reasonably priced right now because it's still a hidden gem (If I'm not mistaken I think when we booked in the fall of 2024 it had only had 5 weddings there) but once the word gets out they could and should charge double or more.
Colleen is the venue coordinator and was so accommodating towards our vision and easy to work with to make your event a success. You have an entire section of the Midway mountainside to yourself and the venue is designed well to take advantage of the incredible views with the massive wrap-around deck, floor-to-ceiling windows and the clear garage-style doors that turns the main space into an open-air room. Since our wedding was a little larger and we were maxing out the cap (200 people), I decided to use the upstairs for dinner and the downstairs outdoor patio for the reception so there would be ample room. It worked out great.
I can't recommend this venue enough. It was fantastic to find a place in Utah that not only was so beautiful and private, but could accommodate a larger wedding and was easy to coordinate with. Thank you, Soldier Hollow, for helping make this event so special and unforgettable."

"I still can’t believe we were able to have our wedding at Soldier Hollow. It truly felt like we stumbled upon the best-kept secret in wedding venues. If you’re dreaming of a breathtaking destination wedding without the massive price tag, this is the place.
This is not your average venue. Soldier Hollow is a Nordic Olympic ski center, and booking here felt like getting a private mountain overlooking a lake all to ourselves. The new reception building is modern and stunning, with a wraparound deck that was perfect for cocktail hour. During the reception, the huge garage doors opened up to the deck, letting our guests flow in and out and enjoy the sunset views. It felt magical.
If you're considering Soldier Hollow for your wedding— do it. I can't recommend it enough. It’s the kind of place that makes your guests say, “How did you find this?!” and makes you feel like the luckiest couple in the world.
I also rented cross country skis with my mom a few months before the wedding and got to ski the slopes! So much fun!!"
