"What a great experience! I can't wait to come back with my kids! It's a shame there are so few Drive-in Theaters anymore, this place was fantastic! Super clean, the staff were friendly, tickets are extremely reasonable. Kudos to the owners for keeping this place alive and well!!"

"Paid 80.00 to watch a movie but some guy thought his truck need to idle he had a muffler system on it so it was extremely loud almost the whole movie they was sitting in the back of the truck not inside of it so I went inside and the staff was sweet and really respectful but he said there wasn't much he could due."
Barbara Stafford
"Fun to go to a drive-in movie. They're rare. This is a fine example of one. Food was adequate but not amazing. The lot and screen were nice. Since the sound is broadcast thru FM radio, lots of cars (and automatic lights) popped on throughout the show. That was annoying. Some people were more considerate than others about turning them off quickly. I recommend you bring a FM radio so you don't have to use the car radio. The weather was perfect to sit out in lawn chairs. They also allow you to bring your own food and drink. We'll probably do that next time."

The Drive-In Experience: More Than Just a Movie
Many visitors highlight the friendly staff and the well-maintained facilities, contributing to a positive overall impression. The presence of a playground is a thoughtful touch for families, ensuring that younger attendees are entertained before the main event. This blend of classic charm and modern convenience makes Big Sky Drive-In a unique destination.
While the core experience is the movie, the drive-in encourages a more communal and laid-back approach to cinema. It’s an opportunity to disconnect from the everyday and immerse yourself in a retro entertainment setting. The unique sound system, relying on FM radio, adds to the authentic drive-in feel, though it also presents potential challenges like car lights interfering with the show.
Navigating Sound and Sight: Tips for the Best Viewing
Parking is crucial for the best viewing experience. Arrive early to secure a spot that offers a clear view of the screen without obstructions. While the drive-in aims for good visibility for all, some spots might be better than others depending on the size of your vehicle and the vehicles around you. Consider bringing lawn chairs if you prefer to sit outside your car, offering a different perspective and more comfort.
Be aware that car lights can sometimes be an issue, especially with automatic light sensors. While staff are present, it's a shared responsibility among patrons to be considerate. Turning off your car's interior lights and being mindful of any automatic exterior lights can significantly improve the experience for everyone.
