Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the incredible opportunities to see manatees and other marine life at Manatee Cove Park, especially when kayaking. The free entry and family-friendly amenities like a playground are also appreciated. However, some visitors have had difficulty spotting manatees, and the park's facilities are quite basic.

"I visited around 2pm right before a thunderstorm and saw a bunch of manatees!
You have to wait and watch for them to briefly surface. There is a short viewing path around the water and kayaks for rent. I’m not sure if there are other hikes. Entry is free. The manatees are super cool! There are also large birds all around the area."

Faith Bissen

"Small little playground & pavilion just down the road from a beautiful cove where I observed manatees, a dolphin, and lots of birds on the shoreline and along a short trail. The area was very quiet. There was a vendor there renting kayaks as well."

Michelle Goff

"Great kayaking put-in with all kinds of sea creatures. The cove has manatees chilling, coming up for air. A short paddle takes you into the Indian River Lagoon, where dolphins are seen playing. Another .5 to .75 mile paddle takes you to two small islands with fossils, horseshoe crab skeletons, conchs and teeny fish. Unfortunately people have left trash there, so please pick up after yourself. Be wary of stingrays and jellyfish if you get out of your kayak in brackish waters"
