"Had driven by the ball fields before but today we were looking for a place to eat our lunch. Drove in and parked near the lake. Walked in and enjoyed our lunch at a picnic table overlooking Bluebird Island. After lunch we explored and went west to the playground and east to the boat launch. There were porta potties when needed. Playground isn't sanitized, according to the sign, but we had it to outsiders ourselves today. Had a lovely time."

"Nice memorial to fallen heroes!
Also a Boy Scout Eagle project, dedication plaque and "monument" to Forrest P Sherman, of Merrimack, Naval hero in WWI, WWII, after the war served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations.
Great story, left me wanting more, the memorial could use some upgrading, but things were should all know, nonetheless.
I visited in the rain, there are two baseball fields connected to the park, probably teeming with family activity on weekends, and there may be walking trails but I didn't take the time to see."

"State championship game kids did great. Not enough parking for an event like that but congrats crusaders on the win."
