What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Nasketucket Bay State Reservation for its beautiful, well-marked trails and stunning shoreline views. It's a dog-friendly haven with options for easy family strolls and more adventurous hikes. Some visitors noted concerns about ticks and occasional litter left by other dog owners.
"Very beautiful and well-marked trails! The Bridle Trail is the widest trail and the flattest, which would be good for children too. Brought my dog and he absolutely loved it! We went on another trail and wound up at the shoreline and got to see Nasketucket Bay, which was so gorgeous! My only negative was unfortunately it is deer hunting season and a hunter left the entrails of a deer on a less-traveled path."
Kelli S.
"Small area but really nice trails. Some are woodsy (Holly Trail), some are sunny (Meadow Trail) and some lead to the shore line. Flat, but watch your step over roots and rocks. Take the Shaw Farm Trail if you come near it, too - it has nice views of the farm and it leads to the rail-to-trail bike path. One complaint - the idiot dog owners who leave their full dog bags in a disgusting pile by the entrance to the reservation! Come on, people - carry it out!"
Conrad Sienkiewicz
"Follow the wide path down to the beach for a spectacular view. Along the way enjoy the open fields and old stone foundation. Venture out on the Shaw Farm trail for dense woods with a soothing stream to cross over by a foot bridge. A fantastic reservation preserved for all to enjoy!"
