What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Mason Sports Park for its well-maintained playground and clean facilities, making it a great stop for families. The disc golf course is a highlight for enthusiasts, offering a challenging and scenic experience, though some note potential for mud and bugs. It's considered a hidden gem with good sports fields and walking paths.
"We stopped at this park while traveling through. We needed a park that was easy to get to that had a good play space for our kids to burn some energy. We couldn't have picked a better park. The play area was really great. Small but in great condition. And it wasn't busy since it's mostly used during ball games. There were people walking the paths with their dogs, a few fathers and sons hitting balls, but mostly the park was empty. We played, even in the sprinkling rain. There are also really nice indoor well kept bathrooms--that was a nice bonus while traveling. Fair warning... It has one of those awesome roller bar slides, like a conveyor for your behind. The kids liked it, so I thought, "Why not!?" They roll way faster the heavier you are... something my adult brain did not fully understand till I was shooting down the slide at a million miles an hour. I barely stayed on my feet when I shot off the bottom of the slide. So fun!!"

"This sports park is a premier athletic facility serving the Mason community. It boasts a challenging disc golf course in a scenic natural area, accessible by a bridge from the park's active side. The park's design was initially guided by the needs and concepts outlined in the parks and recreation master plan."

"Great disc golf course this one was pretty tough. It’s gorgeous by the water but there’s some mud and small flies everywhere. My daughter is new to the game and it took a while. She prefers Harmon park as it’s shorter holes and way less bugs. I found it a challenge. Nice course."
