"This museum is filled with outstanding exhibits which characterize each era of Lynchburg history. There is so much information to take in, well written and sequenced, and thoughtfully laid out. There are parts of each exhibit which cater to different ages, and the staff had two difficulties of scavenger hunts which helps older and younger visitors both have motivation to keep viewing exhibits and keep attention spans longer than they otherwise might endure. A must see if you are traveling outside of northern Virginia and want to learn some history of other parts of the state and how an "average" size town in America in this part of the country evolved over hundreds of years."

"Great, free museum in historic court house, containing many artifacts depicting history of lynchburg and really does a great job of capturing the significance of this small moutain town and its role in American history, through the eras. Museum staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Must stop by if you are into history and passing through the area!"
