San Diego I need help! I'm in Chula vista and I need a place where my SO and I can park and just talk or stargaze (somewhere with a view, I know there must be some romantics out there). Anywhere within a 20 minute drive works!

"So beautiful and relaxing. Definitely a must visit if you love nature, I’ve lived in SD all my life and I never knew this lake was even here in Otay. There are many place to park and set up for a picnic or fishing. It gets really sunny though so for sure bring a sun hat or umbrella."

"I have been coming here to fish with my kids for a long time. I love renting a boat and spend time with my kids. We live fishing and the kiddos sales have a great time. We have our secret spot where we set up, put out chairs or and begging to have a great time. My wife comes with us from time to time and it really helps her unwind. She loves reading books while we are are fishing. The nice thing about is that the place is peaceful, you are close to nature and you get to meet very interesting people. Many of them are always willing to share with us their special fishing tricks, their special lures, their special food to catch fish. It is so awesome when people sees our visits trying to learn and they help them. I'm not an avid fisherman I've learned my little tricks here and there and I passed then to my boys yrs some of the people out there are pros wanna know so much. There are handicap spots, nice trolls trails to walk around, family areas of places to be alone. The staff at the store and the pier are amazingly helpful, knowledge and kind. They have helped me and my boys very much every time we need them. You can bring your food and have a picnic. The memories we have built together between my boys my wife and I are for ever. I love this place very much and I would recommend it to everyone from beginners to pros it is an amazing place to be at. Just make sure you check they are open. Before you get there. They have their schedule and they are very good at keeping it."
