What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mill No. 5 is cherished for its unique collection of independent shops, vibrant atmosphere, and community spirit, with the Coffee & Cotton cafe and Luna Theater being particular highlights. While some visitors lament its potential closure and inconsistent weekday hours, the overall sentiment is one of appreciation for its role in supporting local artisans and revitalizing Lowell.
"Mill No. 5 will always have a special place in my heart. It has been the home of many great shops and a classic movie theater. Coffee and Cotton is one of the best cafes I've ever been to. Sutra Studio was the crown gem of this place, but has found its new home across the street. The Mill has also hosted a very charming farmers market all year around.
I am going to be so sad to see this amazing place close down in January... what a shame.
I almost have no reason to visit Lowell now.
Poor planning"

"Best to visit during the vendor weekends, otherwise they lock the bathrooms oddly enough. No one takes a elevator up four flights to pee... Surprising attitude from the cheese monger and the Luna theater staff, but overall it's a great place. The coffee shop has tasty food that's worth the trip alone. Luna theater is beautiful and has live music!"

"There are so many fun shops here! From an apothecary to a pizzelle bakery, the options here are truly unique and creative. We spent a couple of hours dining, shopping, and enjoying the various offerings. We can’t wait to return!"
