What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Portland Wharf Park is praised for its innovative PlayPort playground and scenic Ohio River views, offering a unique recreational experience. However, some visitors note issues with litter and occasional sketchy conditions in less-maintained areas, suggesting a need for more consistent upkeep.
"Today I wanted to scout out new areas to jog, just to mix things up so my runs don't go stale. This area is really pretty but it can be gorgeous. There's so much trash dumped. Also cars abandoned on the beach that people set on fire lmao. On top of it, things get sketchy quick. For some reasons there's car traffic in the woods on these little dirt trails. Maybe enough room for dirt bikes and ATVs. But cars going through the woods is something I never seen before. Wanted to explore deeper but felt like I'd stumble across and operation I'm not supposed to see. If this place was patrolled just a touch it would be very nice."

"The wharf park is a great access point to the river for people who like to fish, or ride atv's through the wooded river bank sand trails. Great for quiet walks along the waters edge when the river is running at low levels"

"Had a concert and then free fireworks after the show great times for family and friends to get together"
