What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Maxfield Los Angeles is celebrated as a high-end, museum-like boutique offering unique designer pieces and exclusive collaborations. Visitors praise the knowledgeable and friendly staff who provide exceptional service, making the shopping experience elevated and educational. However, some find the prices very high and the store's atmosphere less accessible than traditional retail.
"Great experiences all the time.
Was invited to a private event a couple days after my visit and met Mike Amiri and Wes Lang for an exclusive launch of a collaboration they were doing where art meets fashion.
I got the amazing black and white Palm Angels sweater in the pic attached.
I picked up some skateboards commemorating the night and they are now displayed at the entrance to my restaurant in Toronto.
They went over and above for me to invite me to that event and I am thankful they did.
Amazing designers and items in store. Truth be told it’s not a bargain hunters paradise but if you’re going there you probably already know that.
Staff was super friendly."

"If you don’t mind spending $1,000+ for used clothes then you can shop here. They have vintage t shirts with Notorious B.I.G. on it priced at $3,000 lol This place used to be a trendy spot in LA but not with online shopping and other vintage stores on Melrose Ave and everywhere else it’s not the same."

"Visiting Maxfield is more like visiting a museum than a store (and I mean that in the best way). All those disappointed in the reviews seem to have come expecting a traditional mid-point retail experience. Maxfield is a high-end purveyor of luxury goods and collector’s items, many of which are one-of-a-kind or antique. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about each of their pieces. They are passionate and patient and more than willing to educate customers about their collection without hauteur. Spending time with Jesse, Matthew, and Meghan is always a pleasure; they never make me feel pressured to purchase anything. Meghan even went as far as to hand-stitch the strap that broke on my own cheap shoes while I was trying on another pair. I can’t speak highly enough about this staff or this store/retail experience."
