Long Beach Museum of Art is a fun place to visit for art and food with a view. Exhibits change so be sure to check the website to see what is currently on display (this footage is from February 2023). It used to be free after 3pm on Thursdays but I cannot find any information confirming that it is still the cases. Tickets are $12. You can find plenty of free parking on Ocean. #longbeachartmuseum #...

Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise the Long Beach Museum of Art for its stunning ocean views and the delightful dining experience at Claire's cafe. While some find the exhibits engaging, particularly special shows like Keith Haring's, others have expressed underwhelm with certain modern or minimalist approaches. Special events like 'Sunsets at LBMA' are frequently highlighted as a fun, lively experience.

"I attended the "After Dark" event for The Art of Food exhibit and was very underwhelmed. The exhibit itself was quite boring. I didn’t realize it would take such a modern and minimalist approach, especially since the advertisements featured a colorful, lush painting on the cover art. Most of the pieces were modern works—like those by Warhol and Lichtenstein—which I don’t particularly care for. The "After Dark" party was disappointing. The staff outnumbered the guests, and for a $20 ticket, I expected at least a complimentary wine pour. At 9:50 I was asked to leave because I was the only person left... 10 minutes before closing time. Overall, I found the experience lacking and probably won’t attend special events here again."
