What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lone Tree Recreation Center is widely praised for its affordability, extensive facilities, and exceptionally friendly staff, making it a top choice for both locals and visitors. While the pool and fitness areas receive high marks, some feedback indicates room for improvement in the engagement of children's swim instructors. Overall, it offers tremendous value and a welcoming environment for all.
"The Lone Tree Recreation Center pool was decent. The water was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the pool could benefit from some updates. Overall, it's a good option for a casual swim or family outing."

"My husband and I were visiting Denver for one week and I wanted to swim laps somewhere, as well as use a stationary bike while we were vacationing. Lone Tree Recreation Center, part of South Suburban Parks and Recreation was THE BEST rec center I've ever been to, and as a 67 year old fitness fanatic who's been to many gyms, that's saying a lot.
The indoor pool was clean, had 3 twenty-five yard lap lanes (as well as a thrilling water slide and endless river). Lanes were never crowded and I always got a lane, sometimes splitting the lane with another swimmer. Happy kids were playing in the other part of the pool and lifeguards were constantly walking around looking carefully at each person in the pool. They would go to every corner of the pool, never sitting in a chair. I've seen many lifeguards dazed or even sleeping up high in a chair, and this well trained staff impressed me so much. Swim lessons, lifeguard training, and swim team participation are also offered.
The Keiser stationary bike I used worked perfectly. I've been on so many bikes at gyms where the electronic readout of RPMs, watts, elapsed time either doesn't work, or only parts of it work. Adjusting the bike was easy.
From the bike on the second floor, I could see adults of all ages using the rubber matted indoor track to either walk or jog laps. Digital time displays provided a minutes and seconds readout for track users.
I could look down to the basketball court on the first floor that also served as a pickleball court, low impact aerobic movement class, yoga, and probably many other group activities.
There were racquetball courts, a dance studio where I saw a high energy Zumba type class happening. The rec center also offers cooking classes, painting classes, camps for children scheduled to accommodate their school vacations and breaks. There were outdoor tennis courts, and a golf course.
Classes and accommodations were offered to people whose movement was limited. The welcoming atmosphere for all people was evident, as I saw people of all color, age, degree of mobility, and skill.
Staff members were friendly, and knowledgeable.
How much did I pay to be at this wonderful rec center, as an out of down drop in? $7.25 !
I was lucky enough to meet the Lone Tree Rec Center manager because I wanted to express my gratitude for such a well run facility. The manager, Mr. Kenny Wilson, listened and responded graciously to my thanks."

"My name is Rich. I have been attending this facility since its inception over 23 years ago. One of the best places for my workouts. Fantastic facility. Kenny Wilson (Customer Service Supervisor) also makes you feel welcome every time I visit the gym, no matter how many times I attend. I am at the gym at least 4 times a week. Great attitude and very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. As many years that I have been attending the gym, it makes it feel like you are family."
