"Of all the places in Hocking Hills, Whispering Cave feels like a real hidden gem. The trail to get there is part of the fun—it's a bit more rugged, with some neat rock formations and a cool swinging bridge that makes you feel like a real explorer. The cave itself is massive, a huge, curving rock shelter that feels both grand and surprisingly intimate. When you're inside, you can hear the faint trickle of water from the top of the cliff, and the way your voice carries gives the place its name. It's not as crowded as some of the other spots, which makes it a perfect place to just sit quietly and appreciate the sheer scale of the natural world."

"A quiet wonder. There is no easy way to get to the trail. Parking at the Lodge and walking the connecting trail down is the shortest, with many many stairs. Whispering Cave to Old Man's Cave Trail or Grandma Gatewood Trail will get you there from the Visitors center. The Buckeye Trail will get you there from Cedar Falls. The trail is two-way, in and back. It dead-ends at the far end of the cave. Bring good footwear and plenty of water. It is worth the journey."

"We went on a Friday early in the morning. Not that many people. We hiked from old man's cave to reach this place. The hike was amazing and reaching whispering caves was such a relief. The waterfall was beautiful. Greatly recommend going during the week and not on the weekend."
