One of my favorate ones that I saw was one tjat had TEXICAN revolution soldier 1836 prisioner of war 1842 and Col confederate army 1862. He also dies in the war at the age of 62. There are 2 iron fenced areas that one holds his first wife and the second was Stonewalls Jackson's orginal grave before it wad moved to under his statue. The men who served in the confeferate army are marked with brass soldiers placks and their wifes also marked the same way. There are quite a few of them in this cemetery. Great place to visit for history buffs."

"We just love the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lexington Virginia. Originally this site was The Presbyterian Cemetery and features graves back to 1792. The property is meticulously preserved and contains a great many people from Virginia’s past. Two former Governors, four Confederate Generals and many other notable people are interred here."

"Formerly the Stonewall Jackson memorial cemetery now renamed the Oak Grove Cemetery. Lots of historical graves and a pretty place to walk around. Stonewall Jackson, 144 confederate veterans, 2 former governors, Margaret Preston the poet laureate of the Confederacy, Benjamin Darst a revolutionary solider are all buried here. We spent about 40 minutes walking around taking in the history and reflecting on the lives people have lived. Well worth a look around if you are in town. Apparently people leave lemons around Jackson grave as he used to suck on them for his stomach ulcers."
