What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Melton Hill Dam for its beautiful scenery and excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for crappie and bass. The simple walking path and potential for wildlife sightings are also highlights. Some note a lack of shade during midday and suggest bringing more seating and water.
"My daughter and I were traveling through the area and stopped here to stretch our legs. The dam is alongside some beautiful scenery. The river is lovely and the trees are tall and fluffy. We wish we could've seen the dam activated but it was still pretty cool. We also saw butterflies and we're pretty sure we saw a beaver too."
Valerie
"Great place to fish and have a good time. Always enjoy my trips here."

"There could be more benches to sit on. I think it is a really pretty area, very simple walking path and look out close to the dam itself. Popular spot for people fishing. At noon, there would be no shade whatsoever, so prepare for that. I was there around 5pm and the trees across the street supplied a little shade in a grassy lawn next to the walking path."
