Reviews Summary

The D Las Vegas is praised for its unbeatable downtown location on Fremont Street, offering a lively atmosphere and great value. Guests appreciate the access to Stadium Swim at Circa and the energetic vibe of the casino floor. However, some find the rooms basic and are bothered by late-night noise from the street. Reddit+3

"All in all this was a great stay. I booked three rooms for 2 nights. This is the best hotel on Fremont. The room was dust and it made me choke often but overall I loved our corner king. Really my only complaint is the online platform. That gave me more anxiety than I thought. I’d like to be able to view my reservations and see what’s going on In interact virtually and it really doesn’t allow you to do that. The online System needs to be upgraded. The rate was amazing. The free valet is dope. The restaurants are OK in the casino really didn’t pay out too much but that’s OK can’t win them all. I love the decor and the vibe of The D and the fact that we can go to the pool at circa because the pool here definitely is not cutting it."

"As a first-time visitor to Las Vegas, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction than what I experienced at The D. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was electric, full of high energy and classic Vegas charm. The D delivers the perfect blend of modern amenities and old-school hospitality that makes you feel both excited and right at home.

The casino floor was clean, vibrant, and easy to navigate, with an excellent mix of table games, slots, and unique attractions like the vintage coin-operated machines on the second floor—which were a personal favorite. Everything was well-maintained, and the staff made the experience smooth and enjoyable.

What really stood out to me was the hospitality. Every employee—from the hosts and bartenders to the security team was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to feel that kind of warmth and care in such a busy environment, but The D nails it. I’ve never felt more comfortable and looked after in a casino.

The bar and dining options were just as impressive, with fast service, great food, and a lively crowd that made every moment fun. You can really tell this place is built for people who love to have a good time without the over-the-top pretentiousness found in some other spots on the Strip.

Overall, The D Las Vegas made my first Vegas trip unforgettable. It’s officially one of my favorite casinos, and I can’t wait to come back. Whether you’re a first timer or a frequent visitor, The D is a must visit for a truly memorable Vegas experience

"I recently stayed at The D Casino & Hotel on Fremont Street and got a really good deal: $200 for two nights with $100 back in beverage credit. So realistically, it felt like I only spent about $100 for the room, which was a great value.

Upon arrival, check-in was smooth at the concierge desk, and I was offered a room upgrade to a corner suite. I went ahead and took it. A nice touch was that guests receive a complimentary beer at check-in – definitely a fun way to start a stay in Vegas.

The hotel itself has a lively, high-energy atmosphere, and I found most of the bartenders and staff to be polite and friendly. I especially liked that while using my beverage credit one night, one of the bartenders comped me a couple of drinks since I was playing keno at the bar. However, when the bartender switched, the next one told me I needed to increase my bet to continue getting comped drinks, which felt unnecessary given I’d been betting around a dollar the whole time. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did put a little damper on the experience.

The elevators were surprisingly nice and a bit different than what I’d seen at other hotels – you select your floor on a panel and are directed to a specific elevator, which was convenient. They also didn’t require a keycard, which made it easier when having guests over.

Now for the room: this is where I was a bit disappointed. While I expected more from a suite upgrade, the room felt outdated. It still had popcorn ceilings, worn furnishings, and some questionable stains on the black leather couch and even the bed sheets. The shower was also a letdown – very outdated, with grout that needs replacing and no proper door, which caused water to splash into the bathroom. The fixed showerhead couldn’t be adjusted, and because of the poor design, water shot toward the open side of the shower, creating quite a mess. The TV was small for a suite, the lighting was poor (especially at the desk area), and there were no convenient outlets near the bed for charging devices. Overall, the suite felt more like a basic three-star hotel room than a true upgrade, and I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for it. The view from the corner suite was also underwhelming.

That said, for the price I paid, the deal was still worth it. The D is definitely more updated than some of the older hotels on Fremont Street, but I know other properties nearby are undergoing renovations, which might soon offer fresher, cleaner rooms.

Bottom line: If you’re visiting Fremont Street for the first time, The D is a lively place with good service and a great value when they’re offering credits like the one I got. But I would skip paying for any room upgrades, as the suite I stayed in didn’t justify the extra cost."
