What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sam's Town offers a unique, local-feeling Vegas experience with its charming Mystic Falls Park and free holiday shows. While some guests praise the friendly service and family-friendly atmosphere, others point to average room amenities and occasional cleanliness concerns. Dining options are primarily fast-food, and its off-Strip location requires planning for transportation.
"My fiancé and I got engaged on October 28th and chose to celebrate by staying here. We had our first date at this location, and as locals, we love coming back—so a little staycation felt perfect. I absolutely loved our stay. We were checked in by Sarah and Andrew, and they were amazing from start to finish. Andrew and my fiancé even had a great conversation about band T-shirts, which made the experience feel so personal and enjoyable. The room was beautiful, but the service truly stood out. We’re already talking about making this a yearly tradition."

"Sam's Town had a lot to offer for entertainment from standard casino fun, like slots and tables, to bowling and movies.
Dining options are available but are limited to mostly fast food. The Angry Butcher is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan accordingly.
The atrium was lovely with plants, a constant waterfall, and fountain shows at various times. While we were there, they also made it snow and had a laser show!
The rooms were average. Bed was comfortable but linens are not. Pillows go completely flat when folded in half. I left with a crik in my neck. They left plenty of linens for me. I was surprised to find no coffee maker (or microwave) in my room, no coffee bar anywhere in the common areas, and pay by the cup coffee everywhere except Smokey Joe's. I didn't care to have to get ready for the day before I had a cup. Between that and the linens/pillows, my rating dropped significantly. Personally feel like the bed is the most important thing in a hotel; everything else is a bonus."

"This is our fifth and final time staying at Sam’s Town. While it is not the Bellagio, it is reasonably priced and more family oriented which we appreciate.
After entering our room today, I pulled the top sheet back before sitting on the bed. I was surprised to feel something poking my leg. I found an open knife was sticking out between the mattress and box spring! My first thought was “how can someone actually change bed linens and NOT see or feel a knife at the edge?” Then I wondered IF the linens were actually changed. Disgusted, I called the front desk and was offered a new room. When I went down for the new key cards I found they had upgraded us to a slightly better room. We moved everything to the new room and all I could think of was “is this bed clean?!” I stopped back by the front desk on the way to dinner and was told the shift manager Christopher, would be talking to the housekeeping manager and I should be getting a food credit. The woman at the front desk said I should not pay our dinner bill and have the restaurant call the front desk so they could apply a food credit as Cris was telling her before I walked up he was planning on giving us a credit. It turns out he now said no, our room was upgraded and he cannot give a food credit until I make a report with security which I did after dinner. I called to let Cris know it was done and he said there was nothing else he could do for us above the upgrade. Huge run around. I wasn’t even initially looking for anything additional, the front desk woman is the one who mentioned it. I just went to the front desk to make sure someone was going ensure rooms were actually cleaned and talk to the housekeeping manager.
Again, the knife wasn’t as bothersome because I am sure the last guest slipped it in there for protection while staying in a hotel. The issue is how disgusting it is thinking the linens were not changed."
