What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Mirage Hotel, now closed for redevelopment, was generally praised for its clean rooms, friendly staff, and central Strip location. Guests enjoyed the pool area and the unique tropical ambiance, though some noted minor issues like room smells or the absence of mini-fridges. The iconic volcano show was a major highlight for many visitors.
"We stayed a weekend here and our family loved and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean (as clean as a hotel room can be). We had a great strip view.
The pool was very busy. Staff were friendly. We forgot our son’s floaties and were able to check out some at the towel place.
I didn’t know we had to reserve the chairs with shade ahead of time. It’s like $50 per person.
We had breakfast at Pantry in the resort and we enjoyed our meal.
Parking was easy to find."

"Had a great time at this hotel. Our room smelled of cigarettes when we first arrived but then they quickly came to provide an air freshener machine and change the AC air filters to remove smell. It worked great. I would say the only thing is the rooms do not get that cold, but that's it. Great 24hr restaurant. Perfect walking location. Really nice workers. Elevators were never super busy. Such a great experience."

"Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed the room. I did not gamble, but went to a concert. Rooms are nice enough. Not fancy, but good quality and easy to be in. Everything was clean and worked. Toilet is too small, being about 14 inches high. (FYI- normal chairs are 19 inches high). We did not get refills on shampoo or soap during our stay, so we had to ration and there was enough. Our room was too far from the elevator, which I did not like, but that is typical Las Vegas property --- too big to be convenient. Hotel was clean, staff was helpful, and it was all good. Good place to stay. Near everything."

A few guests noted that rooms could sometimes carry a faint cigarette smell, though the hotel staff were generally responsive in offering solutions like air fresheners or filter changes.
