What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often describe the Heart Attack Grill as a hilariously unique Las Vegas experience, with many enjoying the satirical theme, hospital gowns, and the novelty of the spanking rule. While some find the burgers delicious and a good value for their size, others note the food quality is secondary to the gimmick and can be dry. It's a place that delivers on its outrageous promise, making it a memorable stop for those seeking something unconventional.
"One of the funniest experiences I’ve ever had. This is one of those places you must visit if you’re traveling to Las Vegas. The burger was delicious and huge for the price. The bartenders were super funny and friendly. If you don’t finish your food, they’ll hit you in a funny way.
I highly recommend coming here, but make sure you arrive hungry!"

"My dad and I had a fun (and filling!) time at this wild spot. We totally get the message and satire behind the place, but humour and presentation aside—we actually really enjoyed our meal!
It was our first stop right after landing in Vegas, and we both ordered the Double Bypass Burger (big mistake for me, should’ve gone with the Single!). We also grabbed some mozzarella sticks, which were delicious but made finishing the burger even tougher. On top of that all, for roughly $1 we got 10 strips of bacon added to our burgers!
The burger itself was thick, meaty, and flavorful, with the chili on top adding a nice kick. We also loved the slushy served in a giant syringe—we mixed mango and lemonade and even took the syringe home as a fun souvenir.
My dad managed to finish his meal…I, however, got too full. And if you don’t finish your plate here, the “nurses” spank you with a paddle—let’s just say, they don’t go easy on you! 😂
Overall, a really unique, entertaining, and tasty experience. Definitely a must-try if you’re in Vegas and up for something unforgettable."

"I thought this place was great, a cool novelty idea! The burgers were genuinely lovely with chilli con carne in them, and decent value. Loved the drinks options, had a slushie coke with whipped cream vodka. Staff were lovely too and in great character.
Not really sure why people are leaving bad reviews about the concept - when the place clearly states how it works and explains before entering, so why go if you don’t like the idea. Yes you get spanked if you don’t finish your food, but also, you’re not forced into it, or maybe don’t order a ginormous meal! You can literally share a single burger if you want and avoid the whole spanking risk!! Also yes there is a scale out front but again you don’t have to use that either. It’s just a bit of fun…? Genuinely had a great time."

The Heart Attack Grill Concept: Satire or Danger?
This concept has drawn both praise for its bold humor and criticism for promoting unhealthy eating habits. While some visitors find the experience hilarious and a unique part of the Vegas scene, others argue that it normalizes dangerous dietary choices. The restaurant's founder, Jon Basso, has stated that the establishment is meant to be a wake-up call about the dangers of overconsumption, with the spanking serving as a humorous consequence.
Despite the controversy, the Heart Attack Grill remains a popular tourist attraction, drawing crowds eager for a memorable and over-the-top dining experience. It's a place where the food is secondary to the spectacle, and visitors are encouraged to embrace the absurdity.
Navigating the Menu and the Spanking Rule
Beyond burgers, you'll find 'Flatliner Fries' cooked in pure lard, 'Chili Cheese Dog,' and 'Butterfat Milkshakes.' Drinks are served in oversized syringes, adding to the hospital theme. The key rule to remember: finish your food. If you leave even a bite behind, you'll face the 'nurses' for a playful, but firm, spanking with a paddle.
Many visitors recommend sharing a burger, especially if you're not aiming for a food coma or the spanking experience. The Double Bypass Burger is often cited as a substantial meal for one. The restaurant's approach is to be upfront about its unhealthy offerings, so diners are aware of what they're getting into.
