What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Greenland Open Space for its beautiful grassland hikes and stunning Pikes Peak views, noting it's a well-maintained community spot. While many enjoy the dog park and picnic areas, some cyclists find certain northern trails challenging due to their narrow and sandy conditions.
"Beautiful spot for a walk with the dogs. Clearly well looked after by the community. Vast fenced area plus an agility course.
Has porta potties and picnic benches. I understand lots of horelse trails too.
NOT for overnight parking! I checked for signage and didn't see anything at night. Officers that were called were fine and very friendly.
The picnic area and porta potty are wheelchair friendly. Dog park would be very challenging."

"Beautiful bicycle ride! Had some cows in our path through a pasture north of Palmer Lake. The northern connecter part of the trail from the lake to the pasture gate where the cows were is a bit sketchy. Narrow with overgrown foliage both sides and sudden steep downhills, deep soft Sandy spots, and a rut cut right through the middle of the path. Sometimes everything all at once. All features no one wants on any bike path. A wee bit scary for this girl. But making it to the pasture and seeing the young cows made it all worthwhile. Also saw this beautiful young Buck with velvet on its antlers between Palmer Lake and Monument. The trail between Palmer Lake and Monument was very easy and safe. Loved all of it! Great trail!"
