I was honored today to attend a naturalization ceremony at the Albany County Courthouse to welcome new citizens to our American family. With attacks on immigrant communities on the rise, let us always remember that immigrants enrich the fabric of our nation by driving our shared values of hope, perseverance, and opportunity.

Reviews Summary

Reviews for the Albany County Courthouse are mixed, with significant praise for its role in civic events like naturalization ceremonies and public art installations. However, many visitors report extremely negative experiences with court staff, citing rudeness, unhelpfulness, and procedural difficulties that can lead to further legal complications. Reddit

"The staff working in the circuit Court office are all adult bullies. I'm at a loss for words at the experience I had with his office today. I have two misdemeanors charges at a Laramie for removing two puppies that were in the heat. Exhaustion from the back of a truck with no windows. No air, no water. I received a warrant because I missed the court date 4 to 5 years ago. Last week I was arrested on that warrant and bonded out in order to attend court on Friday which I did and on Friday the judge told me to be there Tuesday on person. At a broke down vehicle yesterday morning and had to find another ride. Called at 8:40 and told him I was going to be late. They told me if I was court was done by the time I got there. I'd have a warrant. I got there at 9:37 Court was done. The judge did Grant me another court date though for today at 9:00 a.m. I tried so hard to find a ride. The one was able to take me on such short notice. Before 9:00 a.m. I called to speak with the office and was basically told too bad. So sad I should have tried harder. I should have grabbed the bowl by the horns. Not only that, when I asked if I could speak with the judge during my scheduled court time over the telephone or Microsoft meetings, I was told no too bad. So sad the judge has to remain impartial . Impartial to what I don't understand but that lets me know that already these ladies had made a divide and and I was the opposition there needed to be a choice. They never did. Let me communicate with the judge so I have another warrant for failure to appear. They did however let me know that because I was gone for so long absconding that they had issues with me so rather than not communicate. I tried to communicate today and all I was met with was rude ladies complete denial of any of what should have been my right to speak with the judge during my court hearing. Another lady also said she doesn't know how I managed to make a 50 mile drive yesterday in 10 minutes. I have timestamps. It took me 47 minutes to get there. It's 4:00 p.m. and I'm still having a major panic attack because of the internet that I went through this morning. I've scheduled meetings for schools and grants this next week that likely if I'm arrested will I miss and it will be messed up. Asked to please speak with an office manager and I was told that that person on the phone was the office manager and they have nobody above them. I asked if others were around to hear how the other part of this conversation was going on their end and they said it didn't matter how they talk to me. It has nothing to do with me not being there. I'm not trying to scone from this charge and trying to deal with it. The way I was treated today makes me wonder why should I even try to do anything right? It feels very personal. I don't know what I did to these ladies or why that lady is accusing me of being a liar and so many other things and the judge having to remain impartial to me telling him why I'm not there today and that I'm not just ditching out on it"

"The judge for civil court is corrupt and dishonest. I have file multiple requests for stocking and restraining orders that have been dismissed before even going to court to plead my case. I filed a small claims case against my ex roommate that owns bills that she is not paying again he dropped that too. I try handling things in the right way but get discriminated against by him and his corrupted court"

"As Pro se in a case of someone taking my vehicle under false pretenses, I presented the clerks with both a motion and evidence to simply be processed. They refused and after two attempts, I had to go downstairs to enlist the help of the Sheriff’s department to just have them take the legal documents. Do their Job!.

Upon arriving back to the clerk’s office, I was rudely told by the chief clerk that, “nobody refused your motion and evidence!”. I calmly showed her my phone and that I recorded the whole thing. She had nothing to say and not even an apology was ever uttered. Coverup, lies at the citizen’s expense!

After many difficult years investigating abuse and corruption by “public servants”, I know way too much!

Do not put your trust in this Court! Come prepared for rude, disrespectful and downright wrong behavior by these people.

You should not merely hope for legitimate justice. Expect it and demand your rights. But, do it peacefully.

I never received an apology by the clerks or the Judge. I’m still waiting.

What they did is a violation of my and your civil rights!

How many citizens have they turned away only to fail the public, justice system and people’s rights to “Due Process”? Too many! One is too many.

Beyond shameful. It’s Disgraceful. It’s WRONG!

I’m a 100% disabled United States Marine.
